"Senyor, jo soc un bon jornaler. Em guanyo el que menjo, també el que vesteixo; no odio ningú, ni envejo la felicitat de ningú, m'alegra el bé dels altres; em conformo amb els meus mals, i el meu orgull més gran és veure pasturar les meves ovelles i veure mamar els anyells."
